Some of us suffer from it, Dry, Cracked feet, this problem may come up during those dry winter months and even during the summer months.
Calloused feet! What is it? It is a thickening of the surface layer of skin which has become thick, hard and can turn yellowish over time. Calloused feet can result in repeated friction, pressure, or other irritation. Calluses are generally not harmful, but may sometimes lead to other problems, such as skin irritation or infection.
What Causes a Foot Callus?
Winter weather can make sore, cracked feet worse.
So can dry climates or environments, ill-fitting shoes that are too tight, standing for long periods of time (especially if overweight) and continual long-term inattention to the problem.
If allowed to continue without treatment, the feet can become even more uncomfortable to stand or walk on. The cracks can get deeper, bleed or get infected, and the problem can become more serious. At this point you will need to see a doctor for further assistance.
