Ephesians 5:15-17 (amp)
“Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil, Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.”
Wisdom is very important in a marriage. When two different people with baggage living together, You want to learn how to live with each other without it be uncomfortable, You want it to be enjoyable!
One of the ways is always praying, asking God what you can do to make life a little bit more comfortable with your spouse.
What are ways you are making life more enjoyable for both of you?
Lord, Thank you for bringing us together. Grant us the wisdom for every decision we make for our children and household. Help us to make godly choices and keep us from doing anything foolish. Take foolishness out of our hearts and enable us to clearly see the consequences of any anticipated behavior.
I pray that we will listen to godly counselors and not be men and women that are unteachable. Give us the strength to reject the counsel of the ungodly and hear your counsel above all others. May we as a couple not buy into the worldly things but keep our eyes on you and have ears to hear your voice.
In Jesus name, AMEN!
