“Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things…”
WOW! The last day of our Focus on your marriage series. I pray that this series was a blessing to you and that you have an idea on how to pray and what to focus on, for your marriage.
My husband and I have been married for 8 years and it has been rough. I learned from the beginning that prayer is and was the #1 tool I still used tell this day that has helped us get to 8 years and still counting.
My husband and I in the beginning and looking forward to many years to come. For this Valentine’s Day, try something different for your spouse. If you want to show your spouse how much you loved them, practice your spouse’s love language. Tomorrow I will be talking about appealing to your spouse Love language. Appealing means: able to attract interest or draw favorable attention, evoking or attracting interest (Not just with sex!)

I’m excited for new things in 2014! How about you?
I pray that you would protect our marriage from anything that would harm or destroy it. Shield us from our own selfishness (PLEASE!) and neglect, from the evil plans and desires of others, and from unhealthy or dangerous situations. I pray that there be no Jealousy in either of us, or the low self-esteem that precedes that. Let nothing come into our hearts and habits that would threaten the marriage in any way.
Unite us in a bond of friendship, commitment, generosity, and understanding. Help us to make time for one another alone, to nurture and renew the marriage. I pray that our love for each other will grow stronger every day, so that we will never leave a legacy of divorce to our children’s generation. In Jesus name, AMEN!
