The new year is here and there are always new ways to want to change. New habitats, hairstyle, and losing weight. I know I struggle with this from time to time, now that I have given birth to my precious joy, it has become harder and harder to stay motivated. Nutrisystem help you with meal plans, customized exercise plans and staying motivated. I know for me, my #1 issue can be food.
There are some definite favorites when it comes to Nutrisystem foods. Although the entrees all pack a great nutritional and weight loss punch, some foods pack more of a flavor punch than others.
Here are some foods that everybody raves about. Whether sweet or savory, you’re going to find something on this list that will make you forget that you’re dieting.
Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup
Everybody knows that chicken noodle soup is one of the best and healthiest comfort foods, but did you know that a packaged version could also taste amazing? This Nutrisystem entree comes in a convenient little box that is easy to transport to work or just when you’re on the go. Because the portion size is controlled, you get a very satisfying meal for just 280 calories.
Caramel Granola Bar
Granola bars are always a nice snack because they have fiber and can keep you full till your next meal. The Nutrisystem bar does all of this, tastes great, and controls your blood sugar at the same time. This is a new recipe of this bar, and it’s getting high marks for not being overly sweet, and having a great crunchy consistency that dieters are raving about.
Florentine Sauce with Chicken Fettuccini
The chefs at Nutrisystem have really found something remarkable in this dish. You would almost believe you’d just spent $12 for a pasta dish at Olive Garden Italian
restaurant. Yet, this meal costs less than $5 when you buy 4 weeks of food from Nutrisytsem for a total of $280. In fact, the average cost of each meal is $4, and you can pay even less on eBay or if use coupons like these from WeightLossTriumph. It’s creamy and garlicky right out of the box, with a combination of cheeses, seasoning, and spinach. This meal is intensely satisfying and is loaded with 26g of protein and only 6g of fat. Add extra vegetables and salad to this entree to make it a fully enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, this meal has been discontinued but let’s hope it comes back again.
Chocolate Chip Pudding
This definitely seems like a diet food because it’s a powder that is versatile and can be mixed with water, milk or yogurt till you get a desired consistency. What is so wonderful about it is that it’s convenient and tastes amazing. It’s also packed with 6 protein, only 1.5g of fat and 5g of sugar, which you won’t find with any kind of Jello chocolate pudding mix. You can carry it with you on the go for a decadently sweet treat whenever and wherever you need it.
Cranberry Orange Pastry and Blueberry Muffin
Everybody loves pastries, and Nutrisystem has found a way to make charming pastries that have added protein, fewer calories, and ample flavor to keep you satisfied on the diet program. These bakery options are meant to be snack foods, or breakfast options. They’re conveniently packaged to bring with you to your local coffee house so you don’t feel deprived that you can’t order the oversized muffins and pastries that they sell these days. The cranberry and blueberry flavorings are delightful, and the consistency is moist, and does not taste stale or overly-packaged. I LOVE anything with cranberry!
As you can see, Nutrisystem has managed to reinvent some of the greatest comfort foods so that you never have to feel deprived on the diet. It’s very exciting to know that there are so many options, and that the chefs at Nutrisystem are constantly revamping their recipes and creating new entrees to keep everyone excited on the program.
