As a busy mom of three, nine year old twins and a six month old, running a billion dollar business, Silk Spa Creations working from home, in addition to being a wife and trying to have a life for your sanity is so hard, I can’t even describe or put into words. So many areas pulling you in so many directions.
With that in mind, I need something quick, not too fancy. I am blessed in that I have a husband who is really helpful, and likes to cook. But even with him cooking, I have to make sure I have some ideas and creativity in creating dinner for our kids.
Here comes emeals. Emeals takes the stress out of dinner with weekly meal plans. No matter what style food you like, eMeals has a plan for you. With Over 50 Meal Plans Available an online service that allows you to pick a meal plan based on your dietary preferences, your cooking style, the number of people in your family, and the grocery stores you frequent. In addition to giving you a weekly meal plan, it also provides a detailed grocery list.
For my family I choose Vegeterian meal plan at first. My husband Not quite vegeterian but a pescatarian, which is one whose diet includes fish but no meat. The kids and I continue to eat meat but I wanted my husband to not have to be by himself. So I wanted to plan our meals ahead of time and continue to support him.
Here’s How It Works:
1. Choose a Plan
eMeals offers a variety of meal plans. Each plan include a weeks worth of dinner recipes and a grocery list of necessary items to make the dinner recipes for the week. Every week, on a designated day, you will get a new set of seven recipes and a new grocery list. There are also meal plans for breakfast, lunch, and dessert.
If you don’t have any particular dietary preferences, you choose your plan based on the number of members in your family (one to two, or three to six). Then, you choose your preferred grocery store, as menu plans are based on the items that are on sale for each particular store to maximize your grocery savings.
Currently, the grocery stores available include:
Other (this gives you a meal plan that is not specific to any one store)
If you would like to choose a meal plan for a specific dietary preference, there are several to choose from:
Natural and Organic
Most specific dietary plans offer you the option to choose from shopping at Walmart, Publix, or any other store. If you are not sure which food plan is right for you, you can click on the link for each plan and view a sample menu.
2. Print Your Meal Plan and Grocery List
Once a week you will be sent a new meal plan and grocery shopping list. The day that your meal plan is available depends on the meal plan that you choose. However, if you have a busy week and aren’t able to print your materials in as timely of a manner as you would like, eMeals leaves the meal plans in your account for two weeks, so it is possible to access an older plan.
eMeals tries to help you save money by not only choosing recipes that are based on ingredients that are on sale that week, but also by ensuring that if you only use part of an ingredient for one meal, you use the rest of it in another meal.
3. Cook and Enjoy
Most of the meal plans include meals that could be made pretty quickly, which makes them perfect for busy nights after work. Even the Whole Foods plan, (which I choose) offers recipes that are fairly quick to assemble, some recipes may take some time to cook or simmer.
Here is a quick recipe I made one night for my husband and the family. I LOVE emeals and will continue to use them, The best thing about emeals is even though its set recipes, with ingredients, you can also make up your own recipe with ingreidents already in your house. Emeals gave me the idea to try this recipe, even though it wasn’t an option for the week. You can freely do whatever you want. ENJOY!
