This amazing blend of Chia and flax seeds with coconut and cocoa is to die for. The name “Decadent Blend” is perfect! I’ll have to find more ways to use this as an ingredient in other recipes as well. I came across this at a supermarket, I was just browsing and walked pass this and HAD to try it. I’m obsessed with cocoa and coconut oil and to it added with Chia and flax seeds is like a power powder ALL IN ONE! Here’s a morning smoothie I made before working out!
Both Flax and Chia seeds benefits:
- Just adding two tablespoons of the seeds to your oatmeal or smoothie in the morning will double the fiber intake on average
- High in Protein, Omega’s, Vitamins and Minerals
- Promotes Healthy Digestion and Regularity
- Promotes Heart, Breast and Brain Health
Peanut Butter (Optional)
2 (Tbs) of Chia, Flax seed powder
Almond Milk Vanilla flavored (optional)
**NOTE: When I did try this smoothie after I was done making it, It did have bits in it that wasn’t all the way blended, when I drank it, I had to chew it first before swallowing.
Spectrum Decadent Blend uses ground chia and flax seed added to coconut and Fair Trade cocoa powder. This mix is high in Fiber and Omega-3 (ALA) essentials fatty acid. Treat the Decadent Blend as you would traditional flax and chia seed; Add to smoothies, cereals, baked goods and more.
Ingredients: Cold milled ground chia seed, dried coconut, organic cold milled ground flax seed, organic fair trade alkalized cocoa powder, organic evaporated cane juice.
Recommended Use: Add to hot cereals, yogurt, smoothies, pudding, pancakes, waffles, and baked goods. Refrigerate after opening. Best if used within 3-4 months after opening. Can be frozen to extend shelf life.
