2014 was a VERY ROUGH year for me, I went through A LOT of crying, and prayer. As I reflect back on the things I went through, I learned a lot, I’ve grown as a wife, mother, business owner and even as a family.
#1- Success is not about how much money is in your pocket or bank account.
This was my biggest lesson. In 2014, I’ve made changes to my blog, revamped it and even added new products to my Bath & Body Business, thinking that being successful was measured by how much money I had in my bank account to take care of my family. I’ve learned… Success is focusing on the plan that God has already mapped out for your life and staying focus on that and not on what “I” want.
#2- My Purpose is to do the will of the one (God) who sent me.
My purpose is to help empower women, through natural, holistic means. Through out the year of 2014, in the mist of difficulties and tears, I had to get back to my purpose, I lost focus along the way, I know that now, so in 2015, my focus: Is to do the will of the one who sent me (John 4:34)
#3- Don’t Quit!
Running a business, being a wife, and mother is difficult in my own strength. I WILL drive myself crazy, trying to make my husband happy, trying not to miss opportunities that MIGHT help my business, trying to make my kids happy, even after just having a baby, I can lose myself and that is not healthy for myself and my family. Even though we have those responsibilities, running yourself crazy is not worth it, I wrote a poem two years ago about not quitting, I know it will encourage you as much as it did for me, ENJOY!
I pray this was an encouragement to you, This encouraged me because, I am looking forward to 2015 and the Endless possibilities God has to offer!
