Waiting on God’s timing….WHAT DOES IT MEAN?! In Business? In Family? In Life? What does it mean to wait on the Lord, waiting on His timing. Moving and making decisions based on God’s timing, His direction in doing things concerning your life. When it comes to business, waiting on God’s timing is the BEST thing you can do, less stress, less energy, no wasted money, etc. The best thing to do for your life. Waiting on God’s timing is not easy, because you can get anxious, you think (logically) that this or that way is better, etc. Waiting on God is the best thing you can do for your life.
“From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts (on behalf) of those who wait for him.”
I LOVE this scripture because this is a crystal clear picture of God literally saying to us that HE acts on our behalf. There is other person you would want to act on your behalf…BUT GOD! The one who created the heavens and earth, who created you, AND knows whats best for you, why wouldn’t you want to wait on HIM.
For me this is the current season I am in concerning my business, I am waiting on God’s timing for me, business, life in general, because I want the best, I’m willing to wait. I want to point out 3 benefits of waiting on God’s timing:
- He’s readying the circumstances. Even though we may ask for it, am I ready for it? is the question, I need to ask myself and God.
- He has to purify our motives. At times the things we ask for can be selfish and God is the heart transformation business. Even though what we may be asking for is good, but it can steam from a selfish place, and God is about helping and HE love’s everyone.
- He is protecting us from making mistakes. What me may be asking for, may harm us in our current season, what we ask for may not be for right now but later, if we were to get it now, it would harm us and God is for our good and to not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). My child at 10, may ask me to let him drive, but he’s not where he needs to be to handle such responsibilities and God wants the best for us.
He want us to be the best follower to make the greatest impact, He saves his best for those willing to wait! I want to encourage you to wait for God’s timing, He will show you which way to go.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
This is one of my favorite scriptures because again this is something God is telling us that He is for our good, waiting is not a bad thing, it is a blessing. In the meantime, lets continue to seek His face, worship Him and learn His ways of doing things in our lives to be better followers, like His son.
