Here are some steps to help finish the year strong in your business, marriage and life in general.
Steps to finish the year strong …
-Continue to commit to hearing from God.
As you have started the year off with passion and conviction to do all God has put into your heart to do, let’s go into the new year of 2016, with that same passion and conviction, even now, heading towards the end of the year, to hearing all that God has for us, not just based on numbers or what worked and what didn’t work in our business, but on what God has told you to do, did you do it? When you spend time in prayer always carry a notebook and pen to write down what God is doing or what He has put in your heart. When you do this, I know this to be true, you are positing yourself for God to move MIGHTILY in your life.
-Commit to walking out your dream/vision.
When God has shown you where He’s taking you and you haven’t reached their yet, continue to stay in prayer and commit to the journey. DO NOT give up, hang in there. With God all things are possible (Philippians 4:13) even when you don’t see it yet. His word says: “We live by faith and not by sight.” The (NIV) says live and the (KJV) says “we walk by faith.” The point is, its a lifestyle to believe God at His word, not by what we see is working in business, in our own efforts but its ALL ABOUT GOD and what He is doing in our hearts and lives.
-Commit to stepping out of your comfort zone.
I wrote and talked about it on the podcast, the time I went to a women’s retreat and did the zip lining course. Stepping out of my comfort zone and facing my fear of heights. Stepping out of your comfort zone is where you will see God do amazing things, and I experienced that by stepping out as a speaker and author. This has happen in 2015 for me and I feel so alive, fulfilled and at peace with everything God is doing in my life, marriage, household and business. There’s truly a FREEDOM (as an entrepreneur) I experience, just by allowing God to be God in your life.
My last point… Stepping out of your comfort zone, also allows you to see the dreams and desires God has placed on the inside of you to see. In the book of Joshua, the Israelites were on the way to the land of “Milk and Honey,” a land that God promised them. When the Israelites were preparing to enter the Promised Land, they were told, the way they had to go was a direction they had never been before, It was different and unfamiliar (Joshua 3:4). In order for them to see, you have to step out of your comfort zone and sometimes that means going in a different direction God is leading you.
Fear has a way of trying to stop you from ever trying, but faith takes action! You have to cast out thoughts of failure, insecurity, doubt, etc. and take them captive and MAKE THEM obedient to the lifestyle of Jesus Christ. YOU ARE NOT a failure, YOU ARE NOT insecure (God knew you before He called you into that area). You had purpose before you started walking out that purpose, God knew you, with all your faults and insecurities and yet God has called you. Doubt and fear will stop you from stepping out… The What If… The what happen, The maybe’s, etc and you haven’t even taken the chance to do it, you formed the reasons in your mind already before it even happen. 10x times out of 10 we are forming these conclusions and end up wrong.
In conclusion… To help you along the way, in your entrepreneurship Journey, I talk about really achieving all that God has for you in every are of your life, just by sharing my testimony of How being so purpose driven in business that it hurt my marriage and really experiencing the success God has for you in EVERY AREA of your life: Marriage, finances, a peace of mind, etc. I talk about that in my new book: S.M.A.R.T. Goals for Christian Entrepreneurs.
What is God showing you to walk out in 2016?
