Pizza is a big deal in our house. EVERY Friday is Pizza Family movie Night! So I think of easy ways of making homemade pizza. Making this pizza with your favorite toppings and ENJOY.
How to make 2-ingredient pizza dough
This 2-ingredient pizza dough calls for 2 cups of “Self-rising” flour and 1 cup of greek yogurt or sour cream. You can even freeze the pizza dough for later use. Once I found this recipe, I made some chances to it to fit my families taste and they LOVED IT!
At the time, I didn’t have Self-rising flour, all I had was all-purpose flour, and I was nervous to try it without it. So if you are in the same boat, here’s how you can make homemade self-rising flour.
After making the flour, put in 2 cups of the ‘self-rising flour’ and then 1 cup of greek yogurt. This is all you need for the pizza dough. After getting the two ingredients mix, mix and mix so more until all the ingredients are combine. Once combined, dump the rest of the pizza dough on the table and knead for 5 minutes. (Side note: After putting in the flour and yogurt, I also added Italian seasoning and garlic salt in with everything else and mixed EVERYTHING together. I wanted the taste to be in every bite of the pizza dough crust when cooked. It was about 2 TBSP of Italian seasoning and 1 TBSP of Garlic Salt ).
After kneading, roll out dough into a circular pattern and start to put in sauce and toppings. I choose to put pepperoni because my kids and husband love it, instead of plain cheese.
Now you have 2 choices to bake the pizza or grill, It’s summer time and we grill practically everyday in the summer in my house, which is why I choose to grill the pizza. If you decide to bake. Here’s how you do it:
Heat your oven at 400 degrees and bake for 10 to 15 mins or until brown and then enjoy. To grill your 2-ingredient pizza, heat up your grill, place the pizza on the grill and let it cook for 5 to 7 mins depending on how crunchy you like the crust. Then DONE! It’s pretty easy and fun to do with kids during the summer. Just 2-ingredients, Flour and yogurt and you are good to go.
