In his first ever devotional, The Logic of God, apologist Ravi Zacharias offers 52 readings that explain how and why Christianity, the Bible, and God are still relevant, vital, and life-changing for us today. To all our dilemmas Ravi says, “I am convinced that Jesus Christ alone uniquely answers the deepest questions of our hearts and minds.”

But The Logic of God is more than intellectual; it is also personal, offering thoughtful wisdom on:
- When Jesus draws especially near you.
- The deep ray of hope found in God’s Word.
- How God transforms disappointments.
- Why prayer matters.
- How genuine peace is possible.
- Making sense of suffering.
About the Devotional
Having a quick resource to go to, to answer life questions as a quick read, sounded a little intimidating, especially when it came to the topic of apologitcs.
Reading this devotional, you get scriptures, a read about the scripture, personal stories, and questions to help you walk out the truth.
In one of his devotional’s He talked about the “Battle of the Heart”
John 18:33-34, 36-38:
“Pilate…summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Is that your own idea, Jesus asked, or did others talk to you about me?…My kingdom is not of this world…
You are a king, then! said pilate. Jesus answered, you say that I am a king, in fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me. “What is truth?” restorted Pilate.”
Excerpt from the devotional passage:
“Truth, in turn can exist only if there is an objective standard by which to measure it. That objective, unchanging absolute is God, further revealed to us in the person of Christ.”
Just reading this quick passage this scripture and this line was thought provoking, it stood out to me. I never saw that pilate was actually asking the question of what is truth?
This question is asked even today. You can see that with how society acts today, with social media, Television. Ravi noted in the passage: “In a world increasingly enslaved by error and addiction and seduced by ideas and images to believe a lie, how wonderful to be freed by the truth of Christ’s peace.”
