Fear is one of the enemy’s tools to stop our walk with God in life. It has certainly stopped me in my tracks from walking in God’s purpose and plan in my life. After walking through many trials and errors, I can walk in courage everyday of my life, let me share with you, some steps to help you walk in courage in your everyday life.
What does courage look like?
When God puts a desire or God-given dream in our hearts, most of the time, right away its met with fear. Fear of doubt, we’re not good enough, many excuses tend to cloud that God-given dream or desire and the next thing we know its put in the back burner.
Pursuing God’s calling typically stretches our faith and can be uncomfortable. At the same time, God is ready to help us move forward. He is so loving to not just leave us there but help us along the way.
Walking in courage means to step out and do it afraid. Fear is not something we conquer once and it’s done. It’s something we have to overcome on an everyday basis.

How to conquer fear everyday?
The bible is full of examples of people that have faced fear and conquered it. David and Goliath, Ester, with a purpose and call from God to save her people, stepping out of her comfort zone to face the king and the direction (The How-to) she needed to save her people, Joshua leading God’s people after Moses died, God told him to fear not (Joshua 1:9). So many other examples from the word of God that will strengthen you to walk in courage. In addition to reading the bible and following the examples,
Ask yourself these 4 questions:
1- What hopes and dreams has God placed on my heart?
2- What gifts and talents has God given me?
3-What steps can I take to pursue God’s calling?
4-Who can I call tha twill encourage and suppose me as I step outside my comfort zone?
These 4 questions came from: “She is Strong and Courageous“ by Ann White Devotional book that is filled with scriptures, examples of women throughout history, today and in the bible who inspire us to be strong & courageous in our walk with God and throughout life’s twists and turns.
This book is filled with inspiring messages of hope, courage, and women conquering fear. Messages such as Overcome Roadblocks, Prepare for battle, Embrace your calling, pledge to persevere and so many more. 90 days of Inspiring messages to fill your cup and empower you to walk in victory every day.
Not only has she written this inspiring devotional, she has created a Bible App called: “Courage for Life”, also dedicated to applying God’s word to help us conquer Fear. This is the first female-voiced bible app. (Insert from the website): The Word of God is one of our most powerful tools when it comes to developing courage. Audio Bibles do a great job of addressing some barriers to reading a physical Bible.
They make it possible for people who might not have a high reading level to learn about God and his love. And an audio recording of the Bible means that anyone can listen to truth while driving, cleaning, or doing other activities that don’t allow for sitting down and reading.
We originally started this project because many of the women we work with are victims of abuse and we know that gender-specific treatment is best to help women deal with the wounds of their past —so listening to a man read the Bible can be a huge barrier for them in hearing God’s Word. So we set out to create the first woman’s voiced audio Bible with at-risk women in mind.
