by tlaborn 1 Comment

Here’s how to choose a word, theme and Bible verse for 2018. Setting goals in the beginning of the year is always about achieving or accomplishing something by the end of the year. I’ve learned that choosing a word or theme and then adding a scripture verse will give you vision, keep you focus and direction for your year. To get the results you are looking for. Here are some steps you can do to choose your word for 2018…   Seek God First in prayer. God can do a better job at showing you His plans and purposes for the season you are in and are going into. Just asking God what is it, He wants to do this year in your life will guide you on the word [Continue Reading…]

by tlaborn Leave a Comment

In 2018, I’m stepping into a new season and I am leaving behind ways that are blocking my full potential to success. I’m taking a good look at 2017 at some of the things I failed and leaving that behind. I recognize ways I found that was blocking my full potential… and here’s how you can to. “Take a good look at 2017, take note and step into 2018 like never before” Click To Tweet Fear of… Insert the fear. I had a tough time growing up and always being questioned on what I could and couldn’t [Continue Reading…]

Here’s how you can start: Ask yourself, what is important to you. As I stated above, spending time with God is important to me, that’s where I get my wisdom, strength [Continue Reading…]

3 tips to jumpstart your journey as a new christian

by tlaborn Leave a Comment

Disclaimer: I was given this Bible to review for B&H Publishing by FrontGate Media. While I was given the Bible for review all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. I recently got a question from someone on resources for those that are new christians. Here are resources I’ve found that we’re helpful in my walk as a new Christian. I didn’t grow up knowing anything about Jesus Christ. I knew there was a God and that was it. The people around me we’re catholic, seven-day-adventist and Jehovah Witness, I had a lot of questions and they we’re able to answer even the questions that we’re in my heart. I was searching for God. I wasn’t aware that I was, there wasn’t a peace in my heart. Years later, I [Continue Reading…]

The answer

by tlaborn 1 Comment

Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC. I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post. As a military spouse, I get asked all the time, how do I get through deployments? My answer is Jesus. It’s always in God, how I get through deployments. When You feel lonely, When life throws you curve balls, when you’re tired of raising kids by yourself, when you’re tired of living in new locations, new areas and not knowing anyone, when you sometimes have to be brave and/or strong for your children and help them cope while your spouse is on deployment, can get so tiring and so frustrating, especially when you have no one to talk to about it. I realized through a lot of ups and [Continue Reading…]

Broken

by tlaborn Leave a Comment

Many thanks to Propeller Consulting, LLC. I did receive a sample of the product in exchange for this review and post. All opinions are 100% my own. Sharing my story of brokenness is hard. Its hard because when I think back, old feelings start to comeback and it’s not always a joyful place I like to talk about, but because its a story of how I came to know the Lord and experienced His goodness, its a testimony of brokeness I don’t mind sharing multiple times. Broken I didn’t grow up going to church. I knew there was a God but didn’t know who was real. I met my husband while I was in college, living on my own and working 2 jobs… I felt like I was living the [Continue Reading…]

How to overcome discouragement

Overcome Discouragement

Lately, I’ve been fighting being discouraged. I’m sharing some tips on how to overcome discouragement. Since Joining my new church, I recently accepted the position as the co-coordinator of MOPS at my church. If you haven’t heard of Mops, it stands for Mother’s of Preschoolers, it’s an organization of women around the world, a sisterhood of women, who, encourage one another, because raising humans is beautiful and hard, and having each other to lean on is life-giving. Connecting moms all over the community, who meet twice a month, together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of being a mom. It is such an awesome group of women. Taking on this position has challenged me, every way possible and there been many times, I’ve wanted to quit. Lately, I’ve been [Continue Reading…]

While, I’m able to get my school work done, [Continue Reading…]
