Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Life can literally take so much out of you, you have nothing left for even yourself. If you haven’t read the introduction to this series, you can check it out here. The whole idea to this series is to recognize anything that can be toxic or harmful to our spirit in any way and free ourselves to live a better life. Fears… Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Prayer: Lord, I pray that fear will not rule over us. Instead may your word penetrate every fiber of our being, letting us know that your love for us is far greater than anything we face and nothing can separate us from it. You have not given us a spirit of fear. You’ve given us power love, and a sound mind. (2 timothy 1:7). My husband and I will not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday (psalm 91:5-6). In Jesus name, AMEN!
Forgiveness Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Forgiveness is something I had to learn through trial and error through the years with my husband and I. We both did and it wasn’t easy but by the grace of God, we got through it and still practicing forgiveness. Prayer… Lord, Thank you for the gift of forgiveness and the blessing that comes with it, when someone truly let go and forgive the other person. Lord, give us the strength and willingness to forgive and move on with our lives and not hold on to the bitterness forgiveness brings. We thank you for your peace that surpasses all understanding.
